PAUL I. MINER Sr., 62, died at 4:51 a.m. June 26, 2005, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born Sept. 27, 1942, in Lima to Francis and Dorothy Wilhelmy Miner, who preceded him in death. He was raised by his adopted parents, Glen and Rose Carmichael. His adopted father preceded him in death. His adopted mother survives in Lima. His special companion for 15 years, Frances Darlene Lambert Miner, survives in Lima. Mr. Miner was a construction worker. He was a Marine Corps veteran. He enjoyed spoiling his children and grandchildren. Survivors include eight children, Paul I. Miner Jr. of Lima, Jill McCool of Columbus, Paula (Don) Faulder of Maplewood, Angela Elijah of Lima, Anthony Wayne (Hilliary) Makin of Chicora, Pa., Juanita Joyce (Anthony) Hoskinson of Pittsburgh, Barbara Lou (Rick) McLoughlin of Sarasota, Fla., and Tonya Lucille (Tyler) Miner of Lima; three brothers, Bernard Miner, Donald Miner and Dick Burrell; two sisters, Maude Colley and Freda Dotson; 17 grandchildren, Andrew, Tesla, Kylee, Malachi, Chelsea, Anthony, Destanie, Shelby, Samantha, Tori, Cristin, Shelby, Ashlie, Amanda, Samuel, Alex and Abbey; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Samantha. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Donna Money, Barbara Opperman and Sondra Hancock; and a brother, Walter Miner. Services will begin at 7 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Christopher Hughes will officiate. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of services today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 616 S.
