Paul E. "Moe" Mullenhour, 84 of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio in Lima, Ohio.
Born Saturday, January 1, 1927 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles Mullenhour and the late Josephine Murano Mullenhour.
On January 31, 1948 he married Virginia A. "Ginnie" Wagner, she preceded him in death on October 6, 2008.
He retired after 30 years as a sales representative from the Ft. Wayne Drug Company and was a former Auditor for 16 years for Lima City.
He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and a graduate of Lima St. Johns High School. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #370, Lima, FOPA, VFW 1275, American Legion #96, and CIAO, a life member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #54, and a life member of the K of C. He served as a former 6th Ward Councilman. He was a Board Member of the Allen Co. Board of Health and a former Director of Finance for the City of Lima. He was currently serving on the Board of the Hanley House, The Allen Co Metropolitan Housing for over 30 years, and the Lima Civil Service Board. He served in the Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
Surviving are: sons, Paul E. (Ava) Mullenhour, Jr. of Carmel, IN and Mark J. Mullenhour of Lima, OH, and a daughter, Mary Jo (Bill) Biedenharn of Richmond, VA.
He was predeceased by brothers, Pat Foscardo and Tony Foscardo, sisters, Eileen Clay, Mary Sirks, Ruth Foscardo, Nellie Brunswick and Betty Wehner.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church with the Father Stephen Blum and Rev. David Ross officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2011. A Parish Wake service will follow at 8PM, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Memorial contributions may be sent to LCC-Monsignor Herr Scholarship Fund.
