Paul Eugene Stelzer,
85 of Lima, Ohio died on Monday, March 5, 2012, at 6:34 A.M. at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Born Tuesday, February 8, 1927 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl Stelzer and Emma Ward Stelzer.
Mr. Stelzer married Marilyn Miller on September 11, 1948 in Findlay, Ohio, she survives. After retiring in 1983 from Standard Oil where he had worked for 33 years he then worked at Truck World for several years. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran having served during World War II. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #96, Lima and was Treasurer of the Lima Eagle Aerie 370, Lima.
Surviving are son, Jeff (Connie) Stelzer of Elida, OH; two step grandchildren, Christopher (Jessica) Conner and Joshua (Lindsay Faurot) Conner, and four step great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Clark, Naomi Saunders and Marjorie McCormack; special friends, Dave (Marlene) Gilman and Clay Gilman.
He was predeceased by brothers, John Stelzer and Charles Stelzer.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with an Eagles Lodge service at 8:00 P.M.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward officiating.
Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima, OH.
