PAUL M. "PETE" WEBER, 72, died at 11:07 p.m. December 15, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1933, in Ottawa, Ohio to Paul M. and Martha Welter Weber, who preceded him in death. On August 24, 1957, he married Jane M. Sherbuck, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Weber had been an agent and staff manager for National Life and American General Life Insurance Cos. and later became parts manager for Tracy's Appliances. He served in the Army from April 16, 1953, to March 31, 1955, during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370. He graduated from St. Wendelin High School in Fostoria. He attended the University of Dayton. He absolutely loved the New York Yankees and Notre Dame. Survivors also include two daughters, Joyce Baker of Lima, Ohio, and Diana (James) Haviland of Gahanna, Ohio; five grandchildren, Eric Roby, Melissa Roby, Elaine Roby, Brady Bourk, Brien Bourk; and one great-grandchild, Hannah Roby. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. The Rev. David Ritchie will officiate. Burial will be at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275.
