Paul M. Werner II 67, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
Paul was born on Sunday, March 4, 1951 in Lima, Ohio to the late Melvin P. & Peggy J. (Cook) Werner. On July 14, 1973 he married Carolyn (Phillips) Werner, who survives in Lima, Ohio.
Paul was a graduate of Lima Senior High, class of 1969 and was a veteran Marine serving during the Vietnam era. He was a lithographer at Commercial Lithograph and Martin Printing. He played bass guitar for years in the local band “The Illusions”. He loved boating at Coldwater Lake, MI. He was an avid Cleveland Browns & Ohio State fan. Paul was a loving patriarch of the family. He loved his yard, gardening, and his feline companions BoBo and Holly.
He is survived by a brother, Stephen Werner, of Lima, sister, Cheryl Ghettie, of West Palm Beach, FL, brother-in-laws Doug Phillips, Dennis Phillips, sister-in-law Eva Bowen, nieces Carol (Daryl) Craft, Heather (David)Snyder, Sabrina (Tony) Schaneman, nephews, Shannon Ghettie, Clint (Jess) Phillips, and Eric (Kristi) Phillips, Troy (Denise) Phillips, and John Joseph (Kamil) Kell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Betty Phillips, brother-in-law Terry Phillips, and niece Dawn Ghettie.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. Rev. Tim White officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the UFW #1275.
