Paul L. Young, 74 of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, May 8, 2011, surrounded by his family, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Born Thursday, July 9, 1936 in New Bavaria, Ohio, he was the son of the late Merl Young and the late Thelma Mathile Young. He was the husband of the late Linda R. Williams Young.
On May 30, 1968 he married Linda R. Williams, she preceded him in death on September 8, 2009. He attended St. Charles Catholic Church, and was a member of the K of C. Paul was a graduate of Holgate High School and Ohio State University. He was an agrichemical salesman for many years and called on many of the elevators in the region. He enjoyed golf playing many rounds at Tamarac golf course. He also loved going to his cottage on Lake Gilead. He was an avid Ohio State fan and went to many football games.
Surviving are son, Gary L. (Kristy Black) Young of Lima, OH, daughter, Melinda R. Young Drabik, of Malibu, CA., three grandchildren, Jared Young, Allison Young, Josh Young, sister, Betty (Bill) Richard of Napoleon, OH. and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by a nephew Douglas Richard.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, , , . Memorial contributions may be sent to In Lieu of Flowers to the National Brain Tumor Society or Lima Central Catholic High School. .
