Pauline ?Pinky? Brinkman, 87, died at 1:03 p.m. April 16, 2009, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Putnam County to Russel and Leona Unverferth Hamilton, who preceded in her in death. On Sept. 4, 1946, in Kalida, she married Howard Brinkman, who survives in Lima. Mrs. Brinkman was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 Auxiliary. She was a life master and director of the Elks Duplicate Bridge Club. She was an avid bridge player, golfer and bowler. Survivors include three sons, David A. (Linda) Brinkman, of Davey, Fla., Larry J. (Donna) Brinkman, of Cooper City, Fla., and Daniel L. (Jean) Brinkman, of Lima; and a brother, James Hamilton, of Kalida; a sister, Lucille M. Meyer, of Troy. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Hamilton, Donna Belle Knippin and Jean Wehri; three brothers, Robert, Ronald and Paul Hamilton. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gerard Catholic Church, 240 W.
