PEARL L. GEORGE, 82, died at 1 a.m. October 12, 2006, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born May 17, 1924, in Putnam County to Chester and Rose Amstutz Basinger, who preceded her in death. Mrs. George retired as an executive secretary from Ex-Cell-O/Airfoil Textron, after more than 40 years. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Genie Chapter of Secretaries Association. Her family was the light of her life and she was loved and adored by them. Survivors include a daughter, Kay (Lyn) Arnold of Elida, Ohio; a son, James (Suzan) George of Oregon, Ohio; four grandchildren, Michelle (Mark) Maez, Nicole (Dr. Neil) Duchac, Eric George and Christopher George; six great-grandchildren, Jennye (Michael) Angel, Scott Maez, Lyndsye Maez, Kourtnye Maez, Britenye Duchac and Jonah Duchac; and a great-great-grandchild, Rilye Angel. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Willoughby and Frances Moses; and a infant brother, Harold Basinger. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Revs. Lars Olson and Gust Wuorinen will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
