Peter Paul Duron

Peter Paul Duron, age 62 of Lima, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Blanchard Valley Hospice Center in Findlay, Ohio

Peter was born on July 21, 1959 (at home) in National City, California, to Jose and Marta (Correa) Duron.

He was preceded in death by his soulmate, Kim Beaty, his father; Jose Duron, two brothers, Jose Gabriel Duron, and Alberto Dan Duron.

Peter is survived by his daughter Angela Darlene Pelmear and mother Marta Duron; and siblings, Miguel Esteban (Bernadette) Duron, Marti Clara Davis, Jesse James (Lisa) Duron, Shirley Ann Duron.

Peter is also survived by many loving grandchildren; Clayton, Lindsey, and Jayme; great-grandchildren, Sayge, Lucas, Noah, Andilynn, Parker, Braxton, Jace, Haislee, Kaiden, and Colson;

With thanks and praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Peter for his service to our country as a Sailor in the United States Navy. Entering active duty on December 23, 1976. Peter served on the USS Archerfish (SSN 678) Nuclear Submarine and was honored the Dolphin Award within his first year of service. Peter was honorably discharged from the Navy on June 11, 1979.

Peter owned his first business at 18 years old, (Pete’s Auto). He went on to have many career endeavors over the years. He trained as a certified Sous Chef in the Military and continued his culinary skills at Private Country Clubs over a 20-year span. Peter was also certified in both welding, air conditioning and owned his own HVAC business in his later years. Peter also had his Associates in Criminal Law from Hatnell College, Salinas, CA as well as many other professional certifications over the years.

In his best years he enjoyed cooking for others, golfing, fishing, boating, and riding motorcycles. He also was musically gifted and played various instruments such as the piano, guitar, clarinet, and flute.

The family welcomes all friends and acquaintances for a military memorial service at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.
