Philip Brooks Pinney, 75, passed away peacefully at 11:27 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021, at Lima Memorial Hospital. Philip was born on May 5, 1945, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Howard and Lola (Anderson) Pinney.
Philip was a retired truck driver. He was an avid Ohio State football fan and a fan of all sports. He was a Lifetime Member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, a member of Bluelick Bible Church, and a generous helper.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Dalicia) Hunter; daughter, Michelle (Howard) Bost; four grandchildren: Devon Hunter, Brittiny Woodruff, Robert Bost, and Dalicia Bost; two great-grandchildren, William Scott Garrard and Dalicia Bre Keith; brothers, Chuck (Barbara) Pinney and Curtis Pinney; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Joyce Pinney and Sharon Pinney.
There will be no public visitation or services at this time.
The family would prefer not to receive flowers; instead memorial donations may be made to The West Ohio Food Bank, 1380 E. Kibby St., Lima, OH 45804.
