Phillip Bogart, 79, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital in Easley, SC. Phillip was born on January 26, 1942, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Darrell and Ruth (Taylor) Bogart.
Phillip worked for Ford Motor Company as a Maintenance Planning Specialist, retiring after 30 plus years with them. He was an avid and professional bass fisherman. He also enjoyed golfing, was a car enthusiast, and Cleveland Indians fan. Phillip was a member of the Eagles.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Bogart of Sarasota, FL; son, Phillip (Stephanie) Bogart Jr. of Clearwater, FL; son, Greg (Tracy) Bogart of Muscatine, IA; six grandchildren: Noell (Mike) Churchfield, Tessa Hansen, Jeremy Bogart, Jonah Bogart, Micah Bogart and Travis Bogart; four great-grandchildren: Isiah Scrimale, Travis Churchfield, Aubrey Connelly and Oakley Newcombe; sister, Barbara Roberts; and niece, Shannon Roberts.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. A private family graveside burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
