Phyllis Sue Partee, 77, died at 7 p.m. August 15, 2008, at Wyngate Inn Elderly Living Center, in Lima, Ohio. She was born December 19, 1930, in St. Johns, Ohio to Walter and Flossie Campbell Mertz, who preceded her in death. On January 20, 1950, she married Donald L. Partee Jr., who died February 1, 2003. Mrs. Partee was a graduate of Lima Central High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, many friends and neighbors. She was a generous giver and a great listener. She was a true friend to those in need and many considered her a second mother. Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey (Connie) Partee and Kevin ?Doug? Partee, both of St. Marys, Ohio; a daughter, Carol (George) Sweeney, of Lima, Ohio; five grandchildren, Brad (Kate) Partee, Chrissy Partee, Brian Harter, Brent Harter and Desiree Partee; a sister, Mary (Bob) Kuehl, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Naomi Mertz, of Cridersville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Waldo Mertz, Robert Mertz, Vic Mertz and Donald Mertz; and three sisters, Margarette Beech, Carolyn Davidson and Betty Heinz. A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. The Rev. Larry Hamilton will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita?s Hospice, 959 W.
