Phyllis Priddy Smith

Phyllis M. Priddy Smith 85, died at 9:05 p.m. January 18, 2008, at her residence. She was born April 8, 1922, in Cleveland to Mildred J. Luther Frese. Her stepfather was Edward Frese. Both parents preceded her in death. On Sepember 23, 1929, she married O.J. ?Bud? Priddy in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He died in 1980. She the married Alonzo D. Smith in 1987, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Smith enjoyed golf and her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Carol L. (David L.) Wright, of Twinsburg, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Linda J. (Dan) Priddy-Meeks, of St. Mary?s, Ohio; a brother, Larry Frese, of Lima, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Baker, of Springfield, Ohio, Melissa Grunden, of New Knoxville, Ohio, Eric Wright, of Northfield, Chris Wright, of Streetsboro, Ohio, Teresa Stiller, of Greensboro, N.Carolina, Amy Pattison, of Mentor, Ohio, and Jeff Priddy, of St. Mary?s, Ohio; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert G. Priddy; a brother, Norman Frese; a sister, Doris Engle; and two stepbrothers, Raymond Frese and Alvin Frese. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Mercer County
