Quentin G. Maxfield ,

93, passed away at 12:59 P.M. on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Maxfield was born on Monday, January 30, 1922, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, to the late George and Lucy (Tandy) Maxfield. On November 27, 1947 in Lima, he married Jean A. Everett, who preceded him in death on March 24, 1992.

Quentin graduated from Ohio Northern University's School of Pharmacy in 1947 where he belonged to the Phi Mu Delta Fraternity. He was a member of the Ohio State Pharmaceutical Association and Northwest Ohio Pharmaceutical Association. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He and his wife were life-long members of Grace United Methodist Church. After its merger with Trinity United Methodist Church, Quentin served on Trinity's staff-parish relations committee, administration board, kitchen community breakfast. He was a former member of The Lima Sertoma Club.

Mr. Maxfield was the owner of Maxfield's Pharmacy from 1959 thru 1993. After selling his business he continued to be active in the field of Pharmacy until his retirement in 2010 at the age of 88. Sharing jokes with all of his customers was something he loved to do along with working jigsaw puzzles, yard work and watching PBS. Spending time with his family was his greatest love and joy in life.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen (Philip Corrado) Maxfield of Monrovia, CA, and Emily Maxfield of Lima; one son, Everett (Nancy) Maxfield of Morral; grandchildren, Jennifer Ary, Nathan (Mindy) Ary, Megan (Scott) Eder, Ethan Maxfield and Bailey Maxfield and great grandchild, Makayla Eder.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 04, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 05, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Rev David Harris will officiate. Interment will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
