Rachael E. Biederman 89, died at 6:55 p.m. December 2, 2009, at Lost Creek Care Center. She was born February 17, 1920, in St. Mary?s, Ohio to Herman Deerhake and Carolyn ?Carrie? Myers Deerhake Linton, who preceded her in death. On January 30, 1942, she married Wilbur Biederman, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Biederman was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She was a member of the Lima Star-Lite Club. She was a 1959 graduate of the Lima School of Practical Nursing. She retired as a practical nurse from Lima Memorial Hospital and during World War II had worked at the Lima Tank Depot. She raised two of her grandchildren, Billy and Rachel Nelson, following her daughter?s death. Survivors include three sons, Larry E. (Lisa) Biederman, of Ada, Ohio, James (Laura) Biederman, of Lima, Ohio, and Gary (Dana) Biederman, of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Naomi Clark, of Lima, Ohio; and eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Jeannean Nelson Binkley; and two brothers, Charles Deerhake and Elza ?Junior? Linton. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church. Pastors Randy Davis and Jerry M. Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
