Ralph “Rick” Howard Pellegrini

Ralph (Rick) Howard Pellegrini, age 77 of Lima, died at 6:24 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the Mercy Health St. Rita's. 

He was born July 25, 1947 in Lima, Ohio. He is the son of Ralph Edward Pellegrini and Lucille Ann Pellegrini. He married Melissa Dawn Daily, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by a grandson, Justin M. Pellegrini-Newberry of Ferndale, and step-daughter, Brittani (Jon) Stec and step-grandsons, Jacob and James Stec. Mr. Pellegrini was preceded in death by his sister, Susan A. Brinsfield and son, Jason Pellegrini.

Mr. Pellegrini was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1970 as a Medical Corpsman. After his service, he was an engineer and firefighter with the Norfolk and Western Railroad until 1978. He retired as a Health Inspector with the Allen County Health Department whom he was with for 25 years. Rick was an excellent coach who spent years coaching in the Elida school system. Rick also loved riding his Harley.  He was a graduate of Canton Lehman High School. He was loved by his community and will be deeply missed.

Funeral Services will be held at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, (920 N. Cable Road, Lima, OH. 45805) Friday, December 20th at 12:00 p.m. A 21-gun salute and burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lima.
