Randall Smith

Randall Lee ?Randy? Smith 53, died Sept. 7, 2007, at his residence. He was born February 11, 1954, in Marietta, Ohio to Rolland ?Rollie? and D o r o t h y Werner Smith. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Smith spent more than 35 years saving lives as a paramedic/firefighter with the Shawnee Township, Elida, Perry Township and Lafayette fire departments as well as Lima Allen County Paramedics. He belonged to and organized community organizations and services. He was a member of Shawnee Church of Christ. Survivors also include seven sons, Steven (Dori) Smith, Brandon Smith, Justin Logan, Aaron Smith and Brent Smith, all of Lima, Ohio, Kevin (Brook) Smith, of Cridersville, Ohio, and David (Jessica) Smith, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; two sisters, Marty (Mike) Murray, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Diana (Greg) Bowers, of Elida, Ohio; a brother, Howard (Michele) Smith, of Elida, Ohio; and six grandchildren, Madison, Braden, Chandler, Lauryn, Stevie and Ashlyn. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Molaski will officiate. Private burial of the cremains will take place at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
