Raymond Edward Rank

Raymond E. Rank, 79, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021, at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Ray was born on January 2, 1942 in Bucyrus, Ohio, to John Ferguson and Mary Ann (Augustine) Rank.  On February 2, 2003 he married Christine Rank who survives in Lima.

Ray was retired from Ford Motor Co. where he was a plumber/pipefitter.  He loved woodworking and he loved the Lord and was a member of South Side Christian Church.  Ray was a member of the Lima Lodge #205 F&AM and also the Toledo Scottish Rite.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Lori (Louie) Rist of Toledo, Kim (Kevin) Doll of Cleveland and Robin Trouten of Dayton; stepchildren, Shonda Hughes and Nick (Jessica Jacobs) Hughes, both of Lima; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Art (Pat) Rank of Shelby and James Rank of Florida; many nieces and nephews; and first wife, Janet (Smith) Poignon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Jones and brothers, George Rank and John Rank.

Family is asking for masks to be required during visitation and the service.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   The Masonic service and funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.   Rev. Todd Cosart will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
