Raymond F. Thompson,

91, of Lima died at 10:35 AM on Thursday, August 08, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

Raymond was born on Tuesday, January 10, 1922, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Charles Thompson and Justena [Coon] Thompson.

On Sunday, October 12, 1941, he married Rosemary [McBeth] Thompson and she preceded him in death November 21, 2003.

He was a member of the Garrett Wykoff Lodge #585 F & A M, the Antioch Shrine of Dayton, the Zenovia Shrine of Toledo and the Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo- 32nd Degree. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #54, the VFW Post #1275, where he was a former member of the burial detail, the Military Order of Cooties, the 361st Infantry Association and Quarter Century Club of Standard Oil Company.

He is survived by two daughters Peggy Tenwalde of Lima and Tena (Sweeney) Thompson of Las Vegas, NV (who will be unable to attend the services); a grandchild Jeff (Jenny) Tenwalde of Lima. Also surviving are four great grandsons Cameron Ray Tenwalde, Jackson Henry Tenwalde, Samuel Rodney Tenwalde and Kellen Andrew Tenwalde.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Kay Harnishfeger, a sister Roma Agee and a brother Richard Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A Masonic service will be held following visitation at 6:00 P.M. on Monday evening.

A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Chaplin Dick Coon officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by VFW Post #1275.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Burn Hospital or St. Rita's Hospice.
