Reba Barbier

Reba Barbier 89, died at 11:20 AM on Monday, August 11, 2014, at Cridersville Health Care Center in Cridersville, Ohio.

Reba was born on March 05, 1925, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to William Dew and Bertha Dew. On August 31, 1946, she married George Barbier, who preceded her in death on March 23, 2008.

Reba graduated in the class of 1943 from Columbus Grove High School. She worked at Newberries 5 & 10 in their Office and then in the Westinghouse Office during WWII. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. For many years she helped her husband George at the Wood Craft Shows.

She is survived by: two sons, Stanley George Barbier, of Lima, OH, and Michael William Barbier, of Findlay, OH; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by: an infant son and an infant daughter; two sisters, Nettiemae Sherrick, and Eva Marie Vertner; and a brother Floyd Dew.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Rev. Mike Houston will officiate.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
