Rebecca Ann Green

Rebecca Green, 65, passed away at 11:49 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

Becky was born on January 30, 1955, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Richard and Mary (Shook) Knupp.  On September 2, 1972, she married James Green, who survives in Lima.

Becky was a 1973 graduate of Lima Central Catholic and a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.  She enjoyed sports; especially the Atlanta Braves, the Cincinnati Bengals, and UNC basketball.  She loved cards and playing euchre; legend has it that she never lost.  She loved animals, and loved helping animals.  Her favorite thing was to feed the ducks with her husband, Jim, at Indian Lake.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Andrea (Zachary) Spaulding; son, Timothy Green; brother, Thomas (Janet) Knupp; and sister, Kathy Curtis.  She was preceded in death by a premature son, Jason Green and her parents.

There will be a memorial prayer service on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.  Father Paul Mathew will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, and in celebration of Becky's life, please make a donation of money, time, or supplies to the Ohio SPCA & Humane Society, or the animal charity of your choice.  Better yet, honor Becky by adopting a shelter animal and giving it a forever home.
