Richard L. Albright, 85, died at 3:07 p.m. Aug. 31, 2012 at Springview Manor, Lima.
He was born Dec. 19, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio to Glen and Mary Ethel Ingabrand Albright, who both preceded him in death. On May 28, 1948, he married Gloria Ann Gray, who survives.
Mr. Albright graduated from Fairview High School in Dayton and served in Europe with the U.S. Army from 1945-1946.
Mr. Albright was employed for 36 years with The City Loan Savings/Bank. He started in Dayton, Ohio and retired in Lima in 1989. Upon his retirement, Richard (Dick) worked part-time 21 more years in the Pro Shop at Colonial Golfers Club in Harrod. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed the company of everyone he played with. He had many special moments golfing, including a hole-in-one and shooting his age or under as a Senior golfer. He most enjoyed family vacations and golf trips to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors also include sons, Mark R. (Ann) Albright, Matthew G. (Diana) Albright, grandsons, Bryan (Jen) Albright, Todd (Heather) Albright and Michael Albright, granddaughters Cherilyn (Aaron) Bensinger and Christine Albright, great-grandsons Dominic Albright-Jahnz and Blaine Albright, great-granddaughters Lucy Bensinger and Braylie Bensinger, all of Lima. Also surviving is a brother, Glenwood Albright of Dayton, and sister, Dorothy Protsman, of Lexington, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Floyd Albright and sister-in-law Virginia Albright.
He will be truly missed by his family, friends, and all those who he shared his life.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Adams officiating.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Graveside Military Rites Service will be conducted by VFW Post 1275.
