Richard was born on August 21, 1937, in Silver Lake, Indiana, to the late Raymond Caudill and Nellie [May] Caudill.
Richard married Louise M. Spencer on Friday, December 4, 1959 in Xenia, Ohio. She preceded him in death in May of 2012. He was an auto mechanic and worked in the Lima area for 40 plus years. He was a huge Reds and Bengals fan. He loved his family and classic cars.
He is survived by: three sons, Rick (Shelly) Caudill, Ron (Robin) Caudill, and Tim Caudill, all of Lima, OH; a daughter, Tracy (Ned) Sponsler, of North Baltimore, OH; seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; three sisters, Sandy Caudill, of Thelma, KY, Teresa Caudill, of Thelma, KY. and Loretta (Howard) Moffett, of Lexington, KY; a brother - James (Shirley) Caudill, of Campbellsville, KY.
He was preceded in death by: a grandchild, Kelly Sponsler.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, July 08, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 08, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Pastor Justin Musto will officiate.
A private family burial will be at a later date at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, Ohio
