Richard L. Clark, 80, died at 12:30 p.m. October 22, 2010, at his residence. He was born June 6, 1930, in Lima, Ohio to Van and Eva Shaner Clark, who preceded him in death. On June 3, 1967, he married Mary Jane Long, who died June 11, 2003. Mr. Clark was a member of County Line Church of the Brethren. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Moose Lodge 199, Orioles Nest 173 and American Legion Post 96, all in Lima. He was an amateur radio and ham radio operator. He was a member of the Local 776 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He was in the Army from March 26, 1951, until March 25, 1953. Survivors include a stepson, David (Priscilla) Rachlin, of Palm Bay, Florida; two stepdaughters, Betty (Mike) Hollar, of Lima, Ohio, and Barabi Rachlin, of Boyd, Texas; four granddaughters, Ruthann Sulik, Missy Mulholland, Molly Hodosko and Devon Gentry; a grandson, Rusty Weaver; 15 great-grandchildren, Dominique, Jordan, Justan, Sinuwa, Bradley, Megan, Madison Paige, Brady, River, Marley, Linde, Amber, Cody, Madison and Victoria; a great-great-granddaughter, Autumn Rose; two sisters-in-law, Joann Clark, of Lima, and Ruth Bowers, of Bethlehem, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a step grandson, David W. Rachlin; a step granddaughter, Mary Lynn Rachlin; and three brothers, David Clark, Don Clark and Doyle Clark. Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. David Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
