Richard E. Clevenger
87, died at 8:20 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Lost Creek Care Center in Lima, Ohio.

Richard was born on October 26, 1929, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Clarence Clevenger and Opal L. (Hassan) Clevenger. On Friday, August 5, 1960, he married Shirley (Brown) Clevenger. She survives in Lima.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. He retired from Ohio Power as a meter supervisor after 47 years of service. Richard was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church, Lima Lodge 205 F&M, Lodge Education Officer Emeritus, Antioch Shrine, Lima Shrine Club, 32 Degree Scottish Rite-Valley of Dayton, Allen County Scottish Rite Association, and American Legion-Post 96.

He is survived by a son, Jon (Denise) Clevenger, of Galloway, OH, and a daughter, Kevi (Curt) Rhoads, of Lima, OH; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 7:00 there will be a Masonic Service followed by a Scottish Rite Ring Service at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Pastor Josh Andrews will officiate.

Graveside military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 1275. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
