Richard Hicks

Richard Hicks 83, died at 2 p.m. December 11, 2009, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born November 27, 1926, in Hardin County to Joseph and Myrtle Risner Hicks, who preceded him in death. He married Ida Stemen, who died July 7, 2009. Mr. Hicks was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima, Ohio. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved fishing. Survivors include two sons, Lonnie (Grace) Hicks and Richard Scott (Tammy) Hicks, both of Lima, Ohio; two daughters, Dianna Lucke, of Lima, Ohio, and Deb (Rolly) Weber, of Elida, Ohio; four grandchildren, Todd Sterling, Christopher Hicks and two others; three brothers, Russell (Imogene) Hicks, of Alger, Ohio, Jim (June) Hicks, of Bluffton, Ohio, and Bob (Donna) Hicks, of Fort Myers, Florida; and five nephews, seven nieces, several cousins, and three great-grandchildren. Services will begin at noon Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Ray Swallow and Pastor Marty Moyer will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.
