80, died at 7:10 AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.

Richard was born on July 30, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Wilbur and Rachel (Seitz) Newbury

He married Audrey Fowble on January 22, 1955. She survives in Lima. He attended Forest Park United Methodist Church. He was a 1952 graduate of Lafayette Jackson High School. He retired after 28 years as a grounds supervisor at the Ohio Northern University. He loved fishing, bowling and watching the Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.

He is survived by a son, Mike (Connie) Newbury, a daughter, Becky Newbury, and a daughter, Terri (Melvin) Ward, all of Lima, OH; seven grandchildren, Jaramie Newbury, Alicia Newbury, Dale Newbury, Chad Ward, Kristy Newbury, Ashley Newbury and Adam Newbury and thirteen great grandchildren, Ariah, Jayden, Jaykob, Alexis, Keaton, Payton, Logan, Sadie, Kaylin, Mackenzie, Trinity, Tyson and Alanna.

He was preceded in death by: a grandchild, Shelley Ward .

The family will receive friends 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Pastor Tim Benjamin will officiate.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
