Richard John Rigali Sr. 82, died at 6:20 a.m. May 20, 2009, at Lima Convalescent Home. He was born June 20, 1926, in Lima, Ohio to Ray and Rovina Falke Rigali, who preceded him in death. On June 26, 1948, he married Norma Wiemer, who died August 13, 1970. Mr. Rigali was a laborer and owner of Fishbaugh-Rigali Door Frame Co. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Orioles Nest 173, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Cooties and American Legion Post 96. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from September 11, 1944, to June 24, 1946, and was awarded the Purple Heart. Survivors include three sons, Tony (Peggy) Rigali, Ray (Darlene) Rigali and Rob (Beth) Rigali, all of Lima, Ohio; a daughter, Gina (Allen) Harrod, of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Rosemary & Bob Moneer, of Lima, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Rosalee Rigali, of Lima, Ohio, and Gerry (Deane) Loar, of Troy, Ohio; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren; and his dog Smoochie. He was preceded in death by 11 children, Richard Rigali Jr., Rachael J. Rigali and three sets of triplets; two brothers, Robert Rigali and Reynold Rigali; and a sister, Rovina Kill. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Father David Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
