47, died at 7:20 PM on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at the The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Richard was born on Sunday, January 15, 1967, in Lima, Ohio, to Frank Rupert Sr. and Betty [King] Rupert. who both survive in Lima.
On September 6, 2000 he married Patricia (Benedict) Rupert who preceded him in death on June 17, 2009.
He liked fishing, gardening and tinkering on mechanical things. He had previously worked at Woodlawn Monuments.
He is survived by two daughters; Navaugh Freed of Arizona and Christa Rupert of California and two grandsons. Also surviving are brothers; Frank (Angie) Rupert, Jr. of Elida, John Rupert , Randy Rupert , Steven Rupert, Andrew Rupert and three sisters Linda Rupert, Susan (Jason) Burdette, and Karen (Andy) Keeling all of Lima. Also a sister, Mary (Ron Sr.) Lawrence of Archbold, OH, and a host of nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, Pastor William Turner officiating.
Interment or ashes will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
