94, died at 12:05 AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.

Rita was born on February 3, 1920, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Richard Davis and Marie (McGreevy) Davis. On Saturday, July 01, 1939, she married Charles H. "Chubby" Jacobs, he preceded her in death on December 1, 1999.

During World War II, Rita worked at Lima/Baldwin/Hamilton (BLH). Later she worked at the DWG Cigar Factory, from which she retired. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lima, Ohio, the Eagles Aerie #370, Lima, Ohio, the American Legion Post #96, Lima, Ohio, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1275, Lima, Ohio. She was also a member of the the Red Hatters of Lima, Ohio.

She is survived by: two sons, Ron (Ginger) Jacobs, of Lima, OH, and Richard C. (Vicki) Jacobs, of Lima, OH; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: a brother, Darrell Davis, and a sister, Ida Bowersock.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at St. Gerard Catholic Church in Lima, OH. Father Mike Houston will officiate.

Interment will be in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer, Ohio.
