Robert Dale Chamberlain, 71, died at 3:55 p.m. March 2, 2008, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1936, in Lima, Ohio to Kenneth Chamberlain and Charlotte Adams Chamberlain-Armentrout, who preceded him in death. On October 12, 1955, he married Evelyn Perkey, who survives in Lima, Ohio. They were married for 52 years. Mr. Chamberlain retired as a letter carrier from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Gardendale Church of God. He was an Army veteran serving from 1959 to 1961. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and he liked to fish. Survivors also include a son, Eric Chamberlain, of Mechanicsville, Virginia; two daughters, Lisa Mull and Dianne Hoehn, both of Lima, Ohio; a brother, Edward (Evelyn) Hartley, of St. Mary?s, Ohio; a sister, Mary (John) Welsh, of Lee Summit, Missouri; four grandchildren, Mike (Brandy) Mull, Melissa (Benjamin) Rowe, Ashley Hoehn and Stormmy Chamberlain; and four great-grandchildren, Matthew Mull-Snyder, Rayven Rowe, Mattison Mull and Emma Mull. He was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Armentrout. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Davy will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
