Robert Coon

Robert D. ?Rob? Coon 46, died at 5:51 a.m. January 19, 2008, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1961, in Lima, Ohio to Raymond and Irene Eberle Coon. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Lima, Ohio. On January 21, 1998, in Lima, Ohio, he married Kim C. Weidel, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Coon worked for the city of Lima in the Water Department for four years. Before that, he was a self-employed contractor. He was a 1979 graduate of Elida High School. He graduated from the University of Toledo with an associate degree in architectural engineering. He was a hard worker who loved golf and adored his daughter, Sammi. Survivors also include a daughter, Sammi R. Coon, at home; a sister, Lisa (Jim) Jordan, of Freyburg; a nephew, Joshua Jordan; a niece, Alyshia Jordan; and a mother-in-law, Margie Weidel, of Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a niece, Breanne Jordan; and a father-in-law, Harry E. Weidel. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Eisenman will officiate. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
