Robert Fisher

Robert Paul Fisher, 79, died at 3:58 a.m. May 10, 2008, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home, Wapakoneta, Ohio. He was born May 27, 1928, in Lima, Ohio to Joe and Rebah (Purdy) Fisher, who preceded him in death. He married Rhonda Woods, who died in 2005. Mr. Fisher was a member of the American Legion and served in the Navy from January 16, 1946, to October 24, 1949. Survivors include a son, Gary Fisher, of Dublin, Ohio; three daughters, Sandra (Edwin) Vaske, of Delphos, Ohio, Loretta (John) Leeson, of Bridgeport, W.Virginia, and Carolyn Gilham, of Bluffton, Ohio; a brother, James C. (Karol) Fisher, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Rock will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Ohio. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
