Robert C. Moneer

Robert C. Moneer , 86, died at 11:15 PM on Saturday, November 09, 2013, at Richland Manor in Bluffton, Ohio.

Robert was born on Wednesday, August 17, 1927, in Mishawaka, IN, to Frank Moneer and M. Pauline (Shutt) Moneer who both preceded him in death.

Robert married Rosemary Rigali on December 27, 1947 in Lima and she survives in Lima. He was a self employed television repairman. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Army National Guard. Robert was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio. He also belonged to the Van Wert Camera Club, the American Legion Post 96, Lima, the Elks Lodge 54, Lima, the Eagles Aerie 370, Lima and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed trap shooting, photography and woodworking.


Surviving are a two daughters: Nanette (Dennis) Montgomery of Findlay, OH and Monica Roberts of Lima, OH; a son, Steeve Moneer of Mansfield, OH. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and sixteen great- grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima with Father David M. Ross, officiating.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima with graveside military services conducted by VFW Post #1275.
