Robert Myers

Robert Myers, 68, passed away at 2:48 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s.

Robert was born on April 4, 1954 in Lima, Ohio, to Wilbur Myers and Donelda Brogee.  On October 5, 1974 he married Vivian (Perry) Myers, who survives in Lima.

Robert was a 1972 graduate of Lima Senior High School.  He worked as an operator at the Lima Refinery, retiring after 30+ years there.  He was an avid Ohio State football fan, a coin collector and also collected vinyl records.  He loved classic cars, music (listening and playing) and enjoyed traveling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Melissa Myers; son, Ryan Myers; granddaughter, Scarlett Smithson; and sister, Elizabeth (Brian) Bell.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.  Pastor Andrew Shields will officiate.  Burial will follow at Shawnee Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to WTGN Christian Radio Station.
