Robert Ogle

Robert A. Ogle, 85, of Lima, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 3:13 AM at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born in Bainbridge, Ohio to the late Allen J. and Garnet {Ford} Ogle Shuttleworth.

Robert was married to Clara {Cox} Ogle, and she preceded him in death in November 1976. He then was married to Mary L. {Morton} Ogle who preceded him in death in December 2012.

Robert enlisted in the US Army at age 17 and served in the Korean War and he was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a former owner of Lima Car Care and A & A Auto Parts. He retired from Sheller Globe as a press operator and maintenance foreman. He loved to fish and truly had a life that was well lived.

He is survived by his children Sharon Robey and Jackie Coon, stepchildren Earl (Jackie) Morton and Bob (Robin) Morton, grandchildren Erik Robey, Bethany Leiendecker, Tyler Coon, Courtney Coon, Justin Morton, Eric Morton, and David Morton, 8 great-grandchildren, siblings Jane Isabrandt, Bill Ogle, Janice Grant, Doris Anderson, Jon Monfort, and Becky Eicholtz.

Robert was preceded in death by son-in-law James Robey, brothers J. Mike Ogle and Jimmy Dale Slaven, and sister Jo Ellen Slaven.

His family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, OH.

A funeral service will begin at 10:30AM on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the funeral home. Pastor Tim Benjamin will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
