Robert E. Parsons Jr.

Robert E. Parsons Jr. , 72, passed away on Saturday April 23, 2022, at Dayton VA Hospital.

Robert was born on March 29, 1950 in Lima, Ohio, to Robert E. and LaDonna (Githens) Parsons. On December 20, 1976 he married Geraldine (Springer) Parsons, who preceded him in death.

Robert was a 1969 Elida High School Graduate.  He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1973. Robert had worked and retired from Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).

He is survived by his siblings: Dan Parsons Sr., Earl Parsons, and Wava Makley.  He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and sister, Sandy Lybarger.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022 at the funeral home.  Pastor Kent Place will officiate.  Burial will follow at Ash Grove Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
