Robert Roose,

Robert L. Roose Sr., 89, died at 8:03 p.m. September 1, 2008, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1919, in Rimer, Ohio to Roy and Cleo Gable Roose. On October 21, 1939, he married Kathryn Snider, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Roose was an over-the-road truck driver for more than 40 years. He also drove for Ohio Rehabilitation Service. He was a charter member and faithful supporter of Lima Bible Missionary Church. He was extremely involved with North Central District Bible Missionary Church Camp. Survivors include a son, Robert (Mary) Roose Jr., of Danese, W.Virginia; a daughter, Kathy (Philip) Probst, of Rock Island, Illinois; two brothers, Paul (Betty) Roose, of Lima, Ohio, and Gene (Margaret) Roose, of Gilbert, Arizona; and13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Haywood; two granddaughters, Vickie Kruse and Susie Kruse; and five brothers and six sisters. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bible Missionary Church. The Rev. Wallace Eason will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
