Robert Seitz

ROBERT C. "BOB" SEITZ, 78, died at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 9, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born June 25, 1928, in Lima to Marian F. and Edna P. Strawbridge Seitz, who preceded him in death. On May 4, 1952, he married Wanda J. Schaaf, who died Nov. 8, 1994. Mr. Seitz worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 45 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was a member of Lodge 706 Free & Accepted Masons, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and the Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons, Bruce (Suzanne) Seitz of Uncasville, Conn., and Steven (Tonia) Seitz of Fort Jennings; two daughters, Deb Seitz and Judith (Kenneth) Duncan, both of Lima; a sister, Dorothy (Dixie) Coffman; nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Lori, Felicia, Kevin, Alexis, Renee, Brandon, Blaine and Destinee; five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Kayden, Chase Michael, Kaylyn and Austin; close family friend, Carol Ricker; and a sister-in-law, Sue Collins. He was preceded in death by an infant son; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" James; a great-grandson, Brayden; and a sister-in-law, Helen Hardin. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kent Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, near Cridersville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church, where a Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Susan G.
