Robert "Bob" Franklin Williams Sr.

89, died at 2:35 AM on Monday, August 17, 2015, at his residence in Lima, Ohio.

Robert was born on April 24, 1926, in Ohio City, Ohio, to the late Franklin J. and Anna Bell (Windle) Williams.

On Sunday, May 18, 1947, in Lima, Ohio, he married Georgia Marie (Seyler) Williams. She preceded him in death on August 30, 2014.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946 alongside his twin brother in the Pacific Theater. Bob retired from Lima Correctional Facility as a Corrections Officer after 10 years. He served the Free Methodist and Missionary Churches as Minister for 30 years.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Williams Jr., of Lima, OH and Tim Williams, of MI, a daughter, Joyce (Gerry) Burton, of Lima, OH, a son-in-law, Dean McCombs, of Lafayette, OH, twelve grandchildren, Dean, Sarah, Jenny, Gerald, Angela, Adam, Timothy, Robert, Mike, Ritchie, Noah, Christopher, fifteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and brother Charles Williams.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Kay McCombs and one great grandson, sister, Esther Hotter and three brothers, his twin brother, William "Bill" Williams, James Williams and Thomas Williams.

The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio and one hour before services on Thursday, at the Church.

A funeral service will begin at 11 A.M.on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at First Missionary Church in Lima, OH. Rev. Dr. Timothy White will officiate, assisted by Gerry Burton will officiate.

Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster, Ohio.
