Roberta K Stevenson

Roberta Stevenson, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2015, at 9:45 am, at the Lima Memorial Health System, after a long courageous battle with lung and liver cancer. Roberta was born November 15, 1942 in Bluffton, OH, to Thomas and Gertrude (Meeks) White who preceded her in death. On September 10, 1960 she married John Stevenson who preceded her in death on May 20, 1991.
Roberta was a 1959 graduate of Beaverdam High School. She had worked for many years with the R.G, Dunn Cigar factory as a wrapper and then as a waitress at the Huddle. Roberta enjoyed cooking, serving and going to area thrift shops.
Roberta is survived by 2 daughters; Debra Kay Mauri of Lima, OH and Christine Ann (Burl Carroll) Simpson of Lima, OH, 1 son, Gregory Stevenson of Lima, OH, 4 grandchildren; Heather N. Dingledine, Bernard R. Simpson, Adam R. Stevenson and Ashley E. Stevenson, 5 great grandchildren; Holly, Claire, Aubrey, Zachary and Waylon and 2 sisters; Josephine Cheney of Rockport, OH and Wilma (John) Bailey of Alger, OH. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Stevenson and 2 sisters; Ruth Meeker and Betty White.
Private burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date in the Rockport Cemetery.
Memorial contributions many be made to the American Cancer Society or the Allen County Humane Society.
