Robeta Reynolds

Roberta Reynolds, 52, died at 10 a.m. Aug. 6, 2010, at her residence with her family by her side following a hard fought battle with ovarian cancer. She was born Nov. 27, 1957, in Lima to Ralph Richard and Bernadette Kennerson Schoonover. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives. On Feb. 18, 1984, she married Duane Reynolds, who survives. Mrs. Reynolds graduated from Lima Senior High School. She was a member of Altrusa International of Lima. She was active in New Beginnings, a program of Altrusa. She will be missed by the many friends and colleagues she met through her business activities. She was a devoted grandmother to her six grandchildren. Survivors also include two daughters, Tara (Marty) Marks, of Pittsburgh, and Kristen (Seth Hardesty) Reynolds, of Lima; a son, Ryan (Nikole Camper) Reynolds, of Lima; four brothers, Tom (Gloria) Schoonover, Mike (Joyce) Schoonover, Greg (Sandy) Schoonover and Eric (Cherie) Schoonover, all of Lima; two sisters, Desiree Schoonover and Teresa Schoonover, both of Lima; six grandchildren, Nathan Marks, Samuel Hardesty, Christian Marks, Maxson Hardesty, Tatum Marks and Lilliana Reynolds; several nieces and nephews; and her father-in-law, Duane Reynolds Sr. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Hillard, and an infant sister, Katie Sue Schoonover. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church, Lima. Father David M. Ross will officiate.
