Rodney Robert Metz,
70, of Lima, Ohio died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice in Van Wert, Ohio after a long battle with esophageal cancer.
Born July 1, 1942 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Carl Metz and Alice (Kinney) Metz. His mother survives in Lima.
Mr. Mertz was a professional musician and piano tuner. The family would like to thank the Doctors & Staff at the Community Health Hospice for their courteous and gracious care provided to Rodney.
Surviving are: a brother, Joseph G. Metz of Long Island City, NY; a sister, Edith Ann Gaertner of Lima, OH; many nieces & nephews.
