77 of Lima, Ohio died on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio in Lima, Ohio.
Born Thursday, February 8, 1934 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Grover Hicks and the late Virginia Shepherd Hicks.
Mr. Hicks retired from Sheller Globe as a foreman after 30 years. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel of Praise. He had been married to Marjorie (Conley) for 25 years.
Surviving are: sons-Barry Hicks of Lima, OH, William P.C. Hick of Arlington, OH and Darin L. Hicks of Lima, OH, daughter, Kathy Brown of Lima, OH. Three grandchildren-Julius Hicks, Amanda Hicks, and Ashley Hicks; great grandchildren- Anasha Grisby, Tinah Grisby, Maria Hicks, Jshaun Hicks, Jase Hicks, Arihna Hicks, Cieara Culp, Jared Culp, and Jonah Culp. Also surviving is a brother, Chris Hicks of Nancy, KY, sisters, Sally Hawkins of Ada, OH, Mable Gross of Lima, OH, Sue Welson of Alger, OH and Betty Navel of New York.
He was predeceased by son, Jeffery Michael Hicks, daughter, Marci Michelle Hicks, Grandson, Artoris Rondale Hicks, Natoris Mardale Hicks, Datoris Shawndale Hicks four brothers, Greeley Hicks, Johnnie Hicks, Billy J. Hicks and Junior Hicks, and a sister, Marie Nichols.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
