Ronald Gail Clark

Ronald Gail Clark, 75, of Lima, passed away on November 27, 2016 at his son's residence.
Ron was born on December 3, 1940 in Coshocton, Ohio to Arthur and Mary {Middaugh} Clark, who preceded him in death. On June 16, 1962, Ron married Sandra Roach, who preceded him in death on February 22, 2014.
Ron graduated from high school in 1958. He earned an Associate Business Degree from Northwest Business College (U.N.O.H.). Ron served as a Seaman in the U.S. Navy from July 11, 1958 to September 13, 1961. He worked for American Electric Power (AEP) for 39 years, retiring July 1, 2000 as District Superintendent. He belonged to St. Marks United Methodist Church in Lima. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Eagles Aerie #370. He served as Scout Master of Troop 82 for 8 years and was on the Bath School Board for 8 years. Ron was on the planning committee for the new Bath Elementary School and took great pride in that. Ron was a 1000 hour volunteer at Lima Memorial Health System. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Lima Locos fan. He loved to play poker and was known for his macaroni salad and vegetable soup.
Ron is survived by his sons Timothy (Shelly) Clark, Thomas (Amy) Clark, and Todd (Jenny) Clark, his daughter Jennifer (Rob) Vera, grandchildren Travis, Casey, Nathan, Will, Jacob, Mallory, and Macy Clark, and Hanna, Emily, and Andrew Vera.
His family will receive friends on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A funeral service will begin on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11am. Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service. Burial of ashes will be at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
