83, died at 3:28 AM on Monday, February 24, 2014, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.
Ronald was born on July 27, 1930, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Harry Sanner and Twylah (Dreasky) Sanner.
Ronald married Barbara Adams on September 30, 1952. She survives in Elida. He served in the United States Navy. He was a successful harness horse owner/trainer through the 60's and 70's. He was a car dealership owner in the 70's and 80's. He was a member of the Lima Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #199; Spencerville VFW Post #6772; Wapakoneta American Legion; and the Lima Eagles Aerie # 370. He loved boating, fishing, golfing and vacationing with family and friends. He was an avid OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds fan. He greatly enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up. The family would like to thank Dr. Arabpour and staff of 3 South at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by: two daughters Cindy Banyas, and Ronda (Mike) George,: a son Kerry (Tami) Sanner: six grandchildren Derrick Smith, Mikey George, Elliot George, Shawn Sanner, Nick Sanner , and Brittany Sanner; two sisters, Marlene (Duane) Campbell, and Barbara (Dick) Miller,
He was preceded in death by: a sister Donna Jean Marsh.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Pastor Dave Stanford will officiate.
