Ronald "Ron" Joseph Benedict,

81, died at 7:17 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at his residence in Lima, surrounded by his family and friends.

Ron was born on December 28, 1936, in Lima, to the late Joseph John and Vera (Wren) Benedict.  On August 21, 1955, he married Deedee (Miller) Benedict, who survives in Lima.

Ron served in the United States Air Force and worked at Superior Coaches where he retired as Vice President of Operations. He enjoyed golfing and working in his yard.  He loved spending time with his family and traveling with them.

He is survived by a son, Bradley Joseph (Brenda) Benedict; two grandsons, Branden Joseph Benedict and Jon Michael Benedict; his puppy Joey; a brother, Beryl Frank (Charis) Benedict and many many special friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Renae Benedict.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 PM on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 12 PM on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.  Rev. Todd Cosart  will officiate.  Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
