90, died at 11:45 PM on Friday, September 9, 2016, at St. Rita's Inpatient Hospice, Lima, Ohio.

Ronnie was born on March 26, 1926, in Belzoni, Mississippi, to the late Saul Jones and Bonnie Mae (Jones) Jones. On Monday, March 1, 1965, he married Leavert Agatha Catherine (Eslava) Jones whom survives in Lima.

Mr. Jones was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a carpenter and millwright retired in 1963. He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union #0372; VFW Post 1275 as a Life Member. He served in WWII in the United States Navy. He received the Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal. He was a fisherman, Bingo Player and gardener.

He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Atkins, of Denver, CO and Bonnie Lyn (Frank) Broom, of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, Galanda, Jasmine , Josh, Jason, Lawan and J. P; ten great grandchildren, J. P. Jr., Joseph and Antonio; many nieces & nephews; a sister , Grace McNeary, of Compton, CA; and many cousins

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Jones and a sister, Freddie Lee Lewis.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

Military Honors will be conducted by Post 1275.
