Rose Campbell

ROSE M. CAMPBELL, 94, died at 11:25 p.m. January 17, 2007, at Otterbein Nursing Home, Cridersville, Ohio. She was born September 4, 1912, in Bassiano, Italy, to Peter and Louisa Lambiasi Taggi, who preceded her in death. On May 11, 1937, she married Donald Campbell, who died October 22, 1960. Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker. She had worked part-time at DePalma's Carry-out and Wells Department Store. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Lima, and its Altar Rosary Society. She came to the United States in 1921 and became a U.S. citizen on May 20, 1960. Survivors include a son, Thomas Lee (Patricia) Campbell, of Edgewater, Florida; a daughter, Karen Sue (James) Ladden, of Lima, Ohio; a brother, John Taggi, of Lima, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Pamela Geiger, of North Carolina, Roby Campbell, of Cape Coral, Florida, Shawn Ladden, of Columbus, Ohio, and Dawn Ladden and David Ladden, both of Lima, Ohio. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Gentile Zuppardo, Antonette Kinstle and Josephine Swanson; and a brother, Angelo Taggi. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio. Father David Ritchie will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
