ROSE V. SCHROCK, 94, died at 12:10 a.m. August 1, 2005, at VanCrest Health Care Center, Delphos, Ohio. She was born September 2, 1910, in Defiance, Ohio to Francis T. and Amelia Stetter Fox, who preceded her in death. On August 16, 1937, in Lima, Ohio, she married James W. Schrock Sr., who died April 12, 1944, from injuries suffered in World War II. Mrs. Schrock had owned and operated Schrock Drivers Training School for 18 years. She had also worked for the U.S. War Department for two years and for Aetna Life Insurance Co.-Farm Department for 10 years. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. She was a life member of St. Rita's Medical Center Auxiliary, where she volunteered for 20 years in various capacities. She was a former president and longtime board member of AARP Chapter 452. She was a member of the Lima Senior Citizens. She loved to quilt and travel. Survivors include a son, Lawrence P. (Jane) Schrock of Greensboro, N.Carolina; two sisters, Rita Kupka of Fremont, Ohio and Helen (Phillip) Layman of Modesto, California; six grandchildren, James W. Schrock III of Lima, Ohio, Deborah (Eric) Schwaiger and Maryellen (John) Bonito, both of Elida, Ohio, Jeffrey (Kathy) Schrock of Keller, Texas, Diane (Andy) Vidourek of Cincinnati, Ohio and Colleen (Charles) Ryburn of Ozona, Florida; and 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James W. Schrock Jr.; a grandson, Steven Schrock; a sister, Ruth Fox; and two brothers, Jerome Fox and Paul Fox. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
